World Service Authority
Politics on the Net, by Bill Mann and Published by Que Books. The World Citizen Web is mentioned on page 210. The Introduction and Table of Contents is available on the web at: http://www.mcp.com/que/et/life.html.
An excerpt from the book:
"As you saw in the alt.politics.org.un newsgroup, some people feel that the UN is trying to impose a world government. Whether that is true or not, there's one organization on the Net that is in favor of a world government. In fact, you can send them money to become a World Citizen. The organization is the World Service Authority, and its home on the Net is the World Citizen Web.I had never heard of it before stumbling across this site, and I don't follow all of its reasoning. Even so, it's an interesting site. Check it out for yourself..."
(Comment from the WCW producers: We appreciate the mention
in this important book. Bill's "stumble," however,
failed to note that the web site identifies the World Government
of World Citizens as a political FACT. True, registering
with the Government as a world citizen carries a $30 fee
as surfers are already aware. But we maintain that being
born in the 20th or 21st century makes us all actual world
citizens. Finally, we would have preferred that Bill place
the mention in Chapter IV, "The International Scene"
rather than under the UN aegis. Our Government is the very
antithesis of the so-called United Nations being based on
people power. But anyway, thanks, Bill.
